LaVere Hutchings lived in small towns most of his life: Eli, Nevada, Idaho Falls, Idaho and Jamestown, California, to name a few. His love of small towns was best seen in the contents of his book "Let's Paint Old Shacks and Barns" published by Walter Foster in l976. Over the years it became a classic for watercolorists.
